Launching of the Universal Peace Forum in Davos, Switzerland

At a time of dramatic global transformation, marked by escalating conflicts, rising mental health issues, and painful distress, the need to awaken inner peace and harmonious living has never been more urgent. In response to this call, His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche launched and inaugurated the Universal Peace Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

This sacred gathering at the World Economic Forum seeks to rekindle understanding and unity, providing a space for humanity to unite in pursuit of collective healing and liberation from suffering.

A compassionate visionary leader, His Eminence Shyalpa Rinpoche has long envisioned a sanctuary where the essence of the human spirit can thrive and be honored. This pure vision is the Universal Peace Sanctuary, which is currently under construction in Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the blessed birthplace of Shakyamuni. The sanctuary will stand as a timeless monument of peace, transcending conditional divisions and offering solace to all who seek refuge in our innate intelligence.

His Eminence sees the Universal Peace Forum in Davos as a complementary force to the world’s economic and technological advancements—a "software of peace" fostering ongoing dialogue among enlightened leaders from diverse fields, in conjunction with the Universal Peace Sanctuary.

This unique assembly will bring together individuals who are wholeheartedly dedicated to harmonious coexistence, merging ancient wisdom, modern innovation, and compassionate leadership to achieve world peace through inner peace. “In our pursuit of material progress, many have forgotten how to celebrate the richness of life itself,” says His Eminence Shyalpa Rinpoche.
